Project Kickoff: Wentworth Point High School

"The ceremony is an ancient aboriginal custom that involves burning various native plants to produce smoke, which has cleansing properties and the ability to make pathway for a brighter future".

Roberts Co are proud to celebrate a major milestone with School lnfrastructure NSW to mark the start of construction for Wentworth Point High School. Last week, Roberts Co CEO Alison Mirams attended the sod turning event which included a traditional smoking ceremony, conducted by Brendan Kerin Mitchell.

The ceremony is an ancient aboriginal custom that involves burning various native plants to produce smoke, which has cleansing properties and the ability to make pathway for a brighter future.

Special mention to our partners at Indigenous Defence & Infrastructure Consortium (iDiC) and photographer, Joseph Mayers.

The new high school at Wentworth Point will include flexible learning spaces, sports and performances facilities, outdoor spaces including landscaped recreation areas, games courts and canteen facilities.
