Roberts Co has been engaged to deliver a 65 storey apartment building above one of Melbourne’s finest examples of early streamlined modern architecture.
The project will include restoration of the heritage façade, excavation and construction of a new two-level basement back to ground level and construction of a 65 storey tower above consisting of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments as well as sub and penthouse apartments.
The extensive residential facilities include lobby area, teppanyaki private dining, lounge, bar, entertaining space, media and library facilities. Publicly accessible and community-focused amenities will also be delivered in the form of retail space and childcare.
Construction began on site September 2020, with the project due for completion mid-2023.
