Hard Work Knows No Gender – Meet Holli Rodziewicz

"More women are feeling comfortable enough to give construction a go. I see it becoming less male-dominated over time, and more diverse in every way." Holli Rodziewicz, Apprentice Carpenter

Meet Holli Rodziewicz, an inspiring apprentice carpenter at Roberts Co working on The Children’s Hospital at Westmead redevelopment. As she pursues her construction career, Holli is currently completing a Certificate III in Carpentry.

Health Infrastructure recently caught up with Holli to learn what she loves about being on site. She shared that the camaraderie and teamwork create a family-like atmosphere, making it the best part of her job, despite the physical challenges.

Holli is optimistic about the future of construction, saying, “More women are feeling comfortable enough to give construction a go. I see it becoming less male-dominated over time, and more diverse in every way.”

Her advice to anyone considering a career in construction? “Just do it. Don’t worry about what anyone else says.”

In partnership with Health Infrastructure, Roberts Co is proud to support the NSW Government’s Hard Work Knows No Gender initiative. This initiative seeks to raise awareness and promote the benefits of greater gender diversity in construction trades and non-traditional roles, such as plumbing, electrics, carpentry, engineering, and project management.
