Roberts Co has secured the Design & Construct contract for a record-breaking four level automated robotic distribution centre in Melbourne. This comes after an extensive ECI phase working closely with client, Logos.
The fulfilment centre in northern Melbourne will create 2000 jobs and span 210,000m2 to become the largest in Australia, equivalent to 11 Melbourne Cricket Grounds.
Logos head of Australia and New Zealand Darren Searle said, “We are proud to partner with Amazon and AustralianSuper to bring to life this specialised, high-tech logistics facility which endorses the local and state government’s investments in infrastructure in the north of Melbourne.”
Roberts Co State Director – Victoria, Andrew La Rocca is looking forward to building on the successful ECI phase, with excavation work already commencing on site.
“Being awarded a project of this scale is a testament to our team and the capabilities at Roberts Co and I would like to thank all of the individuals who have contributed to date. I would also like to thank Darren Searle and his team at Logos for trusting us to deliver a project of such significance.”
