School Day On Site: MQX4

"I felt truly inspired to consider a career in engineering. Thank you for arranging this excursion!" Anonymous, North Sydney Girls High

Students from North Sydney Girls High and Chatswood High joined the RCo team at MQX4 for an immersive site visit.

The visit included talks from our HR team,  PM, Services & Design teams, Engineers and a site tour lead by our Site and Project Manager.

We reconvened to discuss career pathways and then applied their knowledge to some problem solving topped off with some light refreshments.

Some comments from the students about their experience on site as follows:

“My experience at this excursion was highly positive. This excursion was very informative and helped me think about engineering as a career path. I especially liked the problem solving towards the end.”

“It provided me with information about a possible career path in construction. I found it interesting and enjoyed being able to see and experience a live construction site. My outlook on construction and trade has become more positive and I would consider it a possible career path, as I probably wouldn’t have before.”

“I really enjoyed this excursion. Everyone was friendly and approachable, answering every question in a clear and engaging way. It was cool to be on a live construction site, and after gaining insights that changed my perspective on construction, I felt truly inspired to consider a career in engineering. Thank you for arranging this excursion!”

“I liked how there were a variety of people speaking to us, so we could gain a broader view of the field. I also liked seeing the construction in action, it was very interesting. The 3D models were also cool because it shows very detailed work.”

Thank-you to everyone involved in making this day a success!
