Roberts Co was proud to celebrate the topping out of the new high school for Wentworth Point, alongside the Member for Parramatta Donna Davis and the team from School Infrastructure NSW, marking the completion of the concrete structure of the school.
In keeping with tradition, an evergreen tree – a Magnolia ‘Teddy Bear’ – was lifted by a crane on to the sixth storey of one of two new buildings.
The completed project will deliver modern facilities for approximately 1,500 students, including learning spaces for food technology and wood and metal work, performing arts and fitness facilities, a library, multipurpose hall, outdoor spaces, canteen facilities, and administration and staff facilities.
Roberts Co Project Manager, Adam Greentree used the opportunity to highlight the work being delivered on site.
“Understanding the importance of this project, it has been rewarding to reach Topping Out. I would like to thank and congratulate our team at Roberts Co, our consultants, subcontractors and School Infrastructure NSW for what has been a successful build to date. Before we know it, this school will be filled with students and teachers ready to take advantage of the fantastic modern facilities.”
The new high school will cater for the growing population in the Wentworth Point, Sydney Olympic Park, and Concord West communities.
