Roberts Pizzarotti appointed to Concord Hospital Redevelopment

"Unless contractors offer solutions to the problems which plague our sector, and clients accept those recommendations, nothing will change... we applaud Health Infrastructure and the NSW State Government for accepting the five-day proposal" Alison Mirams, Chief Executive Officer, Roberts Pizzarotti

Roberts Pizzarotti is honoured to be appointed as the main works contractor for Stage 1 of the Concord Hospital Redevelopment by Health InfrastructureWe are excited to be working with Hayley Bell, the Health Infrastructure team, Sydney Local Health District and Johnstaff Projects to deliver Stage 1 of the hospital redevelopment.

This is the first time in New South Wales that the construction program for a public hospital redevelopment will be delivered on a five-day working week, rather than the standard six-day week.

According to Roberts Pizzarotti’s CEO, Alison Mirams, the five-day program is a game changer for the industry in New South Wales.

“The statistics show that people on construction sites are six times more likely to die from suicide than in workplace accidents. We are committed to making a positive change to the industry,” said Alison.

“The construction workforce on this project will be able to spend their whole weekend with their friends and family or focus on other pursuits which benefit their health and well-being.

“Unless contractors offer solutions to the problems which plague our sector, and clients accept those recommendations, nothing will change,” said Alison.

“Roberts Pizzarotti is ecstatic to take the lead in the health and well-being space and we applaud Health Infrastructure and the NSW State Government for accepting the five-day proposal,” she said.
