Monaco Hickey, A Division of Roberts Co, is thrilled to have reached practical completion at Ringwood Secondary School, encompassing the construction of a new Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) building, new locker bays, and an external sports court to accommodate the school’s rapid growth.
The project was proudly delivered for the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA), with works executed in two stages.
Stage one included construction of the state-of-the-art 2250m² STEM building, featuring 16 modern learning spaces and 2 outdoor learning areas. These classrooms are designed for flexibility, with the ability to expand into larger collaboration spaces. The building also includes advanced fume cupboards and air dust extraction systems in the science and workshop classrooms.
Stage two involved the development of the new locker pavilion and external sports court, enhancing the school’s facilities and environment.
Despite the challenges of working in the heart of an operational school, the Monaco Hickey team successfully managed the project with minimal disruption, thanks to close communication and coordination with Ringwood Secondary College.
“We are incredibly proud of the teamwork and dedication that went into this project. The new facilities will undoubtedly provide a significant boost to the learning environment at Ringwood Secondary School and the local community as a whole. Thank you to VSBA, our subcontractors, consultants and our team for making this project a success.” Patrick Hickey, Director, Monaco Hickey.
