Roberts Co, along with clients Holder East, took part in a traditional smoking ceremony, conducted by Wurundjeri and Gunnai Kurnai Elder, Uncle Ringo to symbolise Roberts Co’s Site Commencement at Oasis Residences in South Melbourne, following completion of the Early Works.
A smoking ceremony is an ancient aboriginal custom that involves burning various native plants to produce smoke, which has cleansing properties and the ability to make pathways for a brighter future.
It was an honour for Roberts Co CEO, Matt Bourne, Executive Chair, Alison Mirams and the project team led by Project Manager, Mark Giardina to join Holder East COO, Chunjiang (CJ) Wu, Superintendent, Gallagher Jeffs, along with other special guests.
The high-end development comprises 19 storeys including 158 residential apartments and 97 serviced apartments.
The unique design by renowned architects, Hayball ensures 360-degree views from the city skyline to the bay. The project presents multiple premium amenities including a large rooftop infinity pool, private cinema, sauna, large 2-storey ceiling height library, conference room, bar lounge, formal dining room with fully functioning kitchen, designated kids play area, piano room and a 100sqm gym.
