Monaco Hickey Awarded Contract to Build Coburg High School Technology Hub

"This project showcases our commitment to delivering top-tier, purpose-built learning environments." Patrick Hickey, Director, Monaco Hickey, A Division of Roberts Co

Monaco Hickey, A Division of Roberts Co, has been awarded the contract to build the Coburg High School Technology Hub for the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA).

Designed by Bryant Alsop, this state-of-the-art, double-storey facility will address the need for specialist teaching spaces and enhance the school’s curriculum. The new hub will feature cutting-edge spaces for woodwork, design, textiles, food technology, VET food, and media, empowering students to follow their passions and build confidence in their learning journeys. It will also accommodate an additional 250 students, supporting the school’s growth and development.

The project will also address key safety concerns by enclosing the elevated walkway between Buildings A & B, aligning with the school’s long-term vision of creating a secure and modern campus.

Coburg High School marks Monaco Hickey’s eighth collaboration with the VSBA, and Patrick Hickey, Director at Monaco Hickey, expressed his gratitude for the continued partnership:

“This project showcases our commitment to delivering top-tier, purpose-built learning environments. We’re honoured to support Coburg High School’s long-term vision by creating spaces that will inspire and engage future generations. A special thank you to the VSBA team for their ongoing confidence in Monaco Hickey to deliver significant upgrades and improvements to schools across greater Melbourne.”

The project commenced last month with completion planned for late 2025.
