Roberts Co proudly hosted NAIDOC events to honour the rich history, vibrant culture, and significant achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Our celebrations took place at Cumberland High School, Carlingford West Public School, and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
Thank you to Uncle Brendan Kerin for facilitating the events. Highlights included:
• Welcome to Country and a Smoking Ceremony
• A captivating Yidaki (Didgeridoo) performance
• Insightful educational sessions on the Burramattagal people, culture, and Country
• Delicious morning tea provided by Plate Events & Catering, an Aboriginal-owned company
These events were profoundly educational, leaving our team with a deeper understanding of NAIDOC’s significance and our ongoing role in reconciliation.
